Cabo De Rama

The sixteenth century Cabo De Rama fort is worth a visit to comprehend the old and steal a view of the ocean through the Sea eagles eyes. Cabo de Rama Fort is one of the few forts of Goa that was built much before the arrival of the Portuguese. Intriguingly this fort in Spanish means “Cape of Ram” Fort. Cabo is Cape and Rama stands for the Mythological character of Ramayana, King Rama. Ancient locals believed according to local legend that King Rama along with his wife Sita stayed at the tip of this fort as part of his long 14 years exile.
